Last week, over 300 women in Imo state who are members of the now proscribed secessionist group, IPOB, were arrested for protesting and demanding the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. The women have been in police detention since their arrest and are to be held in detention till September 3rd.
Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, says this is an act of injustice and has called on the state and Federal government to ensure the immediate release of the women. See her tweets below..
